StormJunkie.com is here to help you navigate the world of weather on the web. The aim is to provide easy access to many of the best free weather and tropical tracking sites. Many of these sites are run by the government, military, or educational institutions. Much of the information found on these sites is the same information that the professionals use to make forecasts. Our weather can be very confusing, but as you learn to navigate the websites here you should gain a better understanding of how and why the weather is so fluid and should allow you to better plan for any potential severe weather.

StormJunkie.com has also developed an Xtreme StormJunkies area. This area can be accesed through the XSJ Live Chase link at the top of the page. The Xtreme StormJunkies team is a group of storm chasers which will work to provide compelling insight in to severe weather through the use of a live webcam and video. Brian Osburn is the Xtreme StormJunkies lead team member and has over 10 years of experience hunting hurricanes. Recently, he has ventured in to tornado chasing as well and his footage of a car hydroplanning during a severe storm in Texas was picked up by CNN and The Weather Channel.

In the event of a landfalling hurricane Brian has developed a system which will allow him to broadcast a live webcam while standing in the storm. This system includes protective gear, as well as a system for keeping himself as safe as possible while bringing you the experience and fury of one of natures most violent storms. Brian is a professional storm chaser; you should never put yourself in the path of any severe weather. Evacuate, shelter, stay safe, and let Brian bring the experience to you through the safety of your computer.

All other Xtreme StormJunkie chasers are providing video as freelance journalists. StormJunkie.com, LLC takes no responsibility for their actions or decisions.

There are no professional meteorologists at StormJunkie.com. We are hobbyists. Our knowledge of these storms is form living in the path of them and tracking them for over 15 years. Any analysis that is produced by StormJunkie.com is only speculation or opinion and it is not verified. Please make informed decisions based on the information provided by the NHC and NWS, as well as your local offices and news outlets. That being said, the information on this site is for you to use at your own risk. Please make sure that you also read the StormJunkie.com Terms and Conditions of Service.

Please check back often and see what is new.
